    Observation. Nap equipment in one program shows signed of wear and tear and lacks comfort. The LO reviewed this equipment in depth with the manager during the inspection.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. 30 months to school age nap mats are torn exposing foam. Exposed foam is can not be effectively sanitized.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A kitchen space which was accessible to children during free play had cleaning products on the counter and under the sink in an accessible cupboard.

    Corrective action. LO and staff discussed access based risk. Staff made hazardous items inaccessible while Licensing was on site.

    Observation. Two staff were observed not washing their own hands or the children's hands after diaper change which was right before meal time. Additionally, one staff was observed not changing their gloves between children's diaper changes.

    Corrective action. Licensing, Manager and staff discussed hand hygiene protocols.

    A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

    Observation. Manager confirmed that the facility does not have enough emergency supplies to support all children in responding to and recovering from any emergency. Manager explained that families provide emergency supplies for their own children and some had not brought kits in. Manager could not demonstrate that there was a system to track which children did not have emergency supplies.

    Corrective action. Manager said that emergency supplies will be acquired to support all enrolled children in preparing for, mitigating and recovering from any emergency.

    Corrective action. Manager explained that the information they had is reflected on the care plans. Licensing discussed working with parents to complete course of action to include staff action during and after an emergency that may require implementation of care plan.
