A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Emergency supplies bag is too heavy to move and it was stuck in the corner.
Corrective action. Please ensure to have an adequate plan in place to respond and recover from any emergency. Annual drill to be practiced with the emergency supplies to identify the challenges and revise the procedure.

Observation. No care plans have been created for two children requiring extra support.
Corrective action. Ensure care plans are created for children in care requiring extra support.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation. Licensing reviewed three staff files. Immunization status was not obtained for one of these employees.
Corrective action. Ensure staff files are complete.
