- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Electric extension cords in the both classrooms were not secured and it was accessible to children. There is potential safety hazard to health and safety of children in care. A power bar beside Christmas tree in Preschool class was also on the floor accessible to children
Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided to all children while in attendance.
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - LICENSING
When advertising or otherwise offering services to the public, a licensee must identify the care program being offered.
Observation. Attendance sand children registrations in Group Childcare 30 months to school age were labelled as Licensed Preschool programs. Please ensure that documentation and program advertisement must reflect the licensed service type to avoid misleading the families.
Corrective action. Supervisor will discuss it with the area manager to the information on the documentation.

Observation. The following was observed: -Personal staff items accessible to the children in care (coat, purse, coffee cup). -Wood stumps outside appear to become quite slippery when wet.
Corrective action. Please ensure a healthy and safe environment.

Observation. One staff who recently renewed their ECE certificate has not yet had it validated through the ECE registry board.
Corrective action. Please ensure staff certificates are verified.
