- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. The following were observed during inspection. -Electric wires ( phone charger, noise machine & lamp cord) were hanging in both classroom. -Cutting knife accessible in the kitchen drawer in 3-5 classroom -cleaning supplies stored on top of the shelf in IT room.
Corrective action. Please enure that healthy and safe environment is provided while children are in attendance.

A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation. Disinfectant accessible to children in the 30 months to school age classroom.
Corrective action. Ensure hazardous items are not accessible to children.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation. Covering Manager could not provide a record of the previous annual emergency drill.
Corrective action. Ensure records respecting compliance with emergency and fire drills are maintained.
13050 - CCLR s.56(1)(c) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.
Observation. 4 children's files were inspected and three did not reflect date of enrollment.
Corrective action. Ensure children's files are complete.
19080 - CCLR s.57(2)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. At the time of inspection, a child who was signed into the Multi-Age program was physically in the 30 Months to School Age program. The 30 Months to School Age program had him signed out.
Corrective action. Ensure attendance records are accurate.
19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Four children's files were inspected and one did not contain a doctor's phone number.
Corrective action. Ensure children's files are complete.
19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. Two care plans were not reviewed annually with parents or any person requested by the parents.
Corrective action. Ensure annual review of careplans.
19260 - CCLR s.58(2)(b) - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ as a manager a person who, at the time that the person is managing the licensee's community care facility, is also managing another community care facility.
Observation. The exemption in place for site manager to manage two sites was expired.
Corrective action. Ensure manager oversees one site unless exempted.
12020 - CCLR s.18 - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation. The facility's system of staff records did not demonstrate one staff member's criminal record check status.
Corrective action. Ensure evidence to confirm CRC status is available at all times.
