Observation. Licensing observed a man made balance beam in the outdoor playspace that was approximity between one to three feet away from the wooden barrier.
Corrective action. Ensure that appropriate clearance is maintained around equipment at all times. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Clearance) - A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child
Observation. Licensing observed push pins were used to secure items on the ceiling and bulletin boards.
Corrective action. Ensure children do not have access to any object that may be hazardous to the health or safety. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
3000 - CCLR 17 - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person
Observation. Licensing observed two staff files. One staff file was missing one character reference.
Corrective action. Ensure staff files are up to date; character references need to be obtained for persons employed in a community care facility. Action/s Required by Licensing: Follow Up Inspection to be conducted.
