  Observation. Observed that 2 staff do not have their certificates posted. Writer checked the lower level as well and did not find certificates posted there either. Manager made aware.

  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. Heat registers located near window sills are hot to touch and children can access them. Not only do they cause a risk of harm to a child, they pose a risk of fire if items are placed on them.

  Not free from hazards.

  Observation. Outdoor play space (farthest East) has exposed roots causing tripping hazards for both children and staff. One area (closest to the building) where there are signs of erosion, has 2 roots emerging from the sand which could cause serious injury to a child if poked or could cause a fall down the slope if tripped on.   There is current log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H. [CCLR Sec. 56 (1)(f)]

  Observation. Staff are not currently keeping a log of minor incidents or unexpected events.

  Observation. A maintenance log is not kept.
