A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].
Observation. Licensing observed the following: - The handwashing sink in the Accessible washroom to be loose and unstable. The Manager mentioned that it's likely due to the height of the sink and children often leaning on the sink counter while washing hands. While there is no cabinet under the sink to offer support, the sink is visibly unstable and detaching from the wall. In response, the Manager suggested that children use the second washroom. - The sandbox supply level appears to be low and insufficient.

Heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. [CCLR Sec. 47]
Observation. Both children's washroom handwashing sinks were tested at 57.2 Celsius.

Observation. Once child requires an Epi Pen as cited in the child's registration however, there was no specifically prescribed Epi Pen available, nor was the staff aware of the child's allergy and could not locate it.

Observation. A child in the program has an Anaphylaxis Allergy requiring an Epi Pen as part of their care plan. The staff who was supporting the inspection had no knowledge of the Epi Pen

The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]
Observation. Licensing observed that the back gate can be opened as the latch is accessible to children. There is a cable on the gate to prevent full opening, however, that gate can still be opened to greater than 3.5 inches while the cable is on.

Observation. Some children's files ( paper copies) were incomplete. Staff at the time of inspection were unable to log on to the electronic attendance.
