Observation. The caulking around toilets and sinks is broken and has visible dirt. The floor area in the washroom had visible dirt. The Manager reports there is a hired cleaner for the facility.

Observation. Inspections of the outdoor area not maintained and recorded. A conversation with the staff in regards to having a check of hazards prior to children accessing the play space, and a more thorough inspection each month if possible. Electronic resource provided to the staff in addition to this report.

Observation. Licensing observed the following: - The condition of the indoor stainless steel wall mounted drinking fountain is no longer in good repair. The touch control buttons were duct taped and the surfaces are unsanitary, with visible handprints and paint marks. The staff confirmed that a replacement has been ordered to address these maintenance concerns. - The caulking at the base of the toilets in both children's washrooms has accumulated buildup over time of urine or other fluids, and it has seeped through and around the toilet base and tile, making the area porous and challenging to clean. - Cracks around the handwashing sink counter is no longer in good repair. These cracks appear to be a result of water damage and moisture accumulation below the soap dispenser.

Heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. [CCLR Sec. 47]
Observation. The water temperature used by the children were measured exceed 49°C.

The emergency plan is not practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(c)] ; Fire drills are not practiced at least once each month. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)]
Observation. The staff were unable to locate fire drill and emergency drill record.
