  Observation. Licensing observed that 2 children require asthma medication, and the information posted at the facility was not sufficient. VCH Asthma Care plan has been provided.

  Observation. Licensing observed that one verification for an Educator's certificate was not available.

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. Fire drills are practiced and recorded monthly. The emergency drill has not been implemented within the past 12 months.

  The licensee has not obtained a criminal record check for all persons ordinarily present on the premises. [CCLR Sec. (20)(1)]

  Observation. 1 person was ordinarily present as a volunteer at the facility, however the licensee had not obtain the appropriate documentation.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed staff documentation and observed documentation for 3 staff was incomplete.

  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. A soap/ water spray bottle was not available for cleaning tables or other surfaces. It is important to note that a surface cannot be properly sanitized until it has first been thoroughly cleaned. Resources provided. A spray bottle with disinfectant was available in the classroom and bathroom, however, the spray bottles were not labelled accordingly. Liquid soap and paper towels provided for hand washing.

  Heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. [CCLR Sec. 47]
