The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. Licensing came out to the program to look at the kitchenettes in all of the classrooms. These have not been updated in over 20 years. The countertops are cracking and the water is coming in in areas. The cupboards are worn and in need or repair. Licensing supports the program in the application for emergency repair and replacement for this area. The children are washing hands in the classroom more than ever and it is hard to operate the sink now in one of the classrooms.
