    Observation. Licensing observed a paper towel dispenser without paper towels available and all toilet stalls had no toilet paper available for children to access.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: *A child with an asthmatic condition was observed without asthma medication available on site. *A child with peanut and tree nut allergies was observed without an anaphylaxis medication available on site.

    A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: *Peanuts were found in the fridge despite the program have a child enrolled who has a peanut allergy. *Floor tiles were observed to be broken, with broken pieces hidden underneath a rug. This poses a tripping hazard. *Muddy Buddy suits and rain gear were observed hanging directly beside the toilet stalls, posing a hygiene concern due to potential exposure to contamination.

    Observation. Licensing observed the emergency supplies and noted that the food and water had expired in November 2025. As the expiration of the emergency supplies was previously cited during the last inspection, the food and water were not replenished upon expiry.

    Observation. Licensing observed the following items, which were corrected during the inspection: *The storage door to the boiler and electrical panel was unlocked and accessible to children. *A staff’s personal bag containing medication was located by the window and accessible to children. Licensing observed that the nap room is pitch black when the lights are turned off and the door is closed for napping, making it completely dark and preventing proper supervision of the children during nap time.

    First aid kits are readily accessible to all employees, including while care is provided away from premises. [CCLR Sec. 23(2)]

    Observation. Licensing observed that the first aid kit did not contain any band-aids and lacked sufficient first aid supplies.

    Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

    Observation. Licensing did not observe a up-to-date criminal record clearances for the two staff members working in the program, as well as the practicum student.

    The emergency plan is not practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(c)] ; Fire drills are not practiced at least once each month. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)]

    Observation. Licensing reviewed the 2024 fire drill records and found no indication that an emergency drill had been conducted. Additionally, there are no records available for 2025 for an emergency drill. The Manager confirmed with Licensing that a fire drill was not conducted in April.
