    Observation. Repeat violation from FIR #CGEE: - AFCPB8 (03/Nov/2016) - AS3P4Q (12/Oct/2017) - ASRPGL (03/Nov/2017) - BL5SX4 (24/Jan/2020) - CL9UVG (17/Nov/2022) The manager's CRC expired on 28/Aug/2023.

    Corrective action. W/o a valid CRC, an employee cannot work alone w/ children or assist w/ diapering/toileting. The manager explained that she is still awaiting her CRC that was applied for months ago. Please inquire w/ the BCMJ's CRRP (1.855.587.0185–option 2, criminalrecords@gov.bc.ca).

    A licensee must immediately notify a parent or emergency contact if, while under the care or supervision of the licensee, the child (a) becomes ill or is injured.(1.1) In the case of a licensee who provides a care program described as Child-minding, the parent to be notified under subsection (1) is the parent who is on the premises on which the child-minding service operates.

    Observation. Upon reviewing the minor incident log, it was noted that a child's injury was reported upon pick-up.

    Corrective action. Even incidents that are not reportable as described in Schedule H must be relayed to the ill or injured child's parent or emergency contact immediately via a phone call.

    Corrective action. FHA provided a copy of FHA CCFL "Child Care Employee Immunization" form. All requirements of CCLR s.19(1) must be obtained by employees' 1st day of employment.

    Corrective action. ECE/ECEA certificates must be verified online ( https://earlychildhoodeducator.gov.bc.ca/Public/CertAndRenewal/Certificate_Validation.aspx ) or via telephone (1.888.338.6622) for every new hire & every existing employees' certificate renewal. All requirements of CCLR s.19(1) must be obtained by employees' 1st day of employment.
