Observation. Licensing reviewed two of two medical care plans. One plan had not been reviewed and signed in the last 12 months.

3070 - CCLR 58(2)(b) - Log kept of all inspections, maintenance & repairs
Observation. Licensing reviewed outdoor checklist. Last date recorded was May 15, 2023. Staff stated the yard is inspected each morning before the children go outside.
3070 - SPS DOLSOP (Log Kept) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure
Observation. Licensing observed on child from the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) program visiting the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) program to support a gradual transition. Child was not signed out of one program and in to the other on attendance records.

Observation. Licensing observed one medical care plan for a child that was not signed or dated by a parent.
Corrective action. Ensure to develop the care plan in consultation, and review the care plan at least once each year.
3070 - CCLR 58(2)(a) - A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. Licensing tested the hot water in the Group Child Care (Under 36 months) bathroom. Water tested 55' Celsius. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care. A safety plan has been put in place that all children will be supervised during hand washing by a staff so the water temperature can be monitored, until the water temperature can be lowered and retested by Licensing. Full compliance will not be met until Licensing re-tests the water and it tests no higher than 49 degrees Celsius.
Corrective action. Ensure hat any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
3000 - CCLR 47 - Thorough daily, monthly and annual inspections, as well as maintenance and repairs of the outdoor play area are performed and recorded
Observation. Licensing observed the outdoor check list in the Group Child Care (Under 36 months) program only completed up until May 3, 2022. Manager stated that yard checks are competed daily before the children go out, they just hadn't been recorded.
Corrective action. Ensure that thorough daily, monthly and annual inspections, as well as maintenance and repairs of the outdoor play area are performed and recorded
