- A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.
Observation. Licensing reviewed 21 employee files and observed that one educator's certificate was not posted in the facility. Manager corrected this during the inspection by posting the employee's certificate on the staff bulletin board in main foyer.
Corrective action. Ensure that educator's certificates are displayed in a prominent place in the community care facility
3080 - CCLR 11(4) - Protective surfacing used is checked regularly to ensure depth & adequacy of material
Observation. Licensing observed that there was hardpan (no pea gravel) at the base of the two slides (green and blue) in the designated play area. Also observed that there was ample quantities of pea gravel along the edges of the play yard available to redistribute. During the inspection, the Manager submitted a work order to the facility maintenance department to remedy this situation.
Corrective action. Ensure protective surfacing used is checked regularly to ensure depth and adequacy of materials.
