- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. During the routine inspection of the outdoor playground the following was noted: - the siding of the wall where the sandbox was located in the Infant-toddler side was rotting and has become unsafe. There is plastic lining under the rotted wood and this is a hazard to young children. The staff on site said that the Mission School District was on site and worked on the drainage of the building where the sand box used to be. Corrective action. Please ensure that the facility is in good repair.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Licensing observed: -Storage of sunscreen and bug spray located accessible to children in care. (facility made these inaccessible during inspection). -Blind cords in two classrooms, and two electrical cords were accessible to children in the classroom. (Corrected during inspection) -A padded bumper located on a counter where hand washing occurs was broken exposing the foam inside, preventing effective sanitization of the surface. (Corrected during inspection).
Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
