    Observation. Upon inspection, an ECEA works from 6:30am-8:30am and 5:00pm-5:30pm in the Group Child Care 30 months to school age program.

    Corrective action. Ensure there is an ECE staff in the program working at all times.

    Observation. Upon inspection, children in the school age program are not being signed out when dropped off for school and signed in when picked up.

    Observation. Upon inspection the staff files were not on site. The manager advised they are offsite and she will have them brought to the centre.

    Despite this section, during the half hour before a care program begins and the half hour after a care program ends, a licensee may permit children who would otherwise be grouped in different care programs, and who are arriving at or leaving the community care facility, to be grouped together and supervised other than as required under Schedule E if (a) the care program is described as Multi-Age Child Care, Group Child Care (Under 36 Months), Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age).

    Observation. Upon inspection, the groups are combined from 3:30pm onwards and the centre closes at 5:30pm.

    Corrective action. Ensure groups are not combined for more than 30 minutes at the beginning and/or end of the day.
