  Observation. A child’s file lists an individual identified by the parent as not permitted to have access. While the facility has a letter with the person’s name, there is no additional identifying information or guidance on what actions staff should take if the individual arrives.

  Observation. A reportable incident recorded in the daily communication book described staff using physical guidance by picking up and moving the child; more than once. This method is not age‑appropriate and does not align with developmentally appropriate behavioural guidance practice.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. During the morning goodbye routine, a windowpane was pushed out of its frame. Although a replacement pane was installed, the repair was not fully completed. Staff remain concerned about the age and deteriorating condition of the single‑pane window frames, as their compromised structure presents an ongoing safety risk. Full window replacement is required to prevent this hazard from recurring.
