Observation. Licensing observed that there was no care plan available for a child requiring extra support.
Corrective action. Manager to develop a care plan in consultation with family.

A licensee must do all of the following: (d) appoint a manager for the community care facility.
Observation. Staff stated the facility had not had a manager since January 2025. Resources were provided to coordinator/acting manager to submit amendment to Licensing.
Corrective action. Staff to submit amendment to Licensing for review.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. A licensee must ensure that the policies and procedures referred to in subsection (1) are implemented by employees.
Observation. Yearly emergency drill was not practiced and recorded since May 2022.
Corrective action. Ensure that emergency drill is practiced with the children and staff at least once a year.

Observation. There was no administration record of medication given to a child.
Corrective action. Ensure that medication administration record is available on site.
