A licensee must have all of the following: (a) emergency exits and a fire drill system approved by a local assistant within the meaning of the Fire Services Act.
Observation. The Fire extinguisher was due for service on January 8, 2021.
Corrective action. Ensure that the fire extinguisher is serviced annually by the date due for service on the service tag.

The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.
Observation. 1 person ordinarily present in the home did not have a criminal record check completed.
Corrective action. Ensure each person ordinarily present over the age of 12 years old has a completed criminal record check. Please provide a written plan how you will respond to this contravention until the criminal record check is received.
