A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed knives in a drawer accessible to children. A staff removed them and placed them in a high cupboard inaccessible to children.

Observation. 10 children's files were reviewed; 2 care plans were not reviewed annually with the parent or any person requested to by the parent.

- POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation. Licensing observed that the fire drill record was not complete for March 2021 and the emergency evacuation record was not completed for the 2020 year. Staff confirmed that the drills had been completed.
Corrective action. Please ensure accurate records are maintained in relation to all emergency drills conducted.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation. On review of a random selection of five children's files, Licensing observed that two were missing MSP numbers. All other information was accurate.
Corrective action. Please ensure that information for children's files is complete
