• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. - The sofa located in the technology room has a rip in the leather seat. - Both the Boys and Girls washrooms have a stall doors that require replacement or repair

  Corrective action. Repair or replace items identified.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

  Observation. Three children's files were reviewed and staff could not provide evidence of the children's immunization status.

  Corrective action. Corrective action plan is required

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person.

  Observation. Four staff files were reviewed and 3 did not provide evidence that references were verified.

  Corrective action. Corrective action plan will be required to bring all facility files into compliance

  Observation. Four staff files were reviewed and three files did not show evidence of a resume

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (d) copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person's training and skills.

  Observation. Four staff files were reviewed and three of 4 files did not contain evidence of staff completing training that would be equivalent to what is required for a Responsible Adult

  Observation. Four Staff files were reviewed and three did not contain evidence of immunization status
