- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Space heater placed on a 4ft shelf posing a hazard if it should fall. The Manager moved the heater onto the ground and tuck the wires away. - Insufficient clearance around a little tikes climber located in the play area. The climber was moved around so there is sufficient clearance around it. - Cup holder containing adult scissors and a knife placed on the kitchen counter is accessible to the children. The Manager moved the items out of reach of the children.
Corrective action. No further action required.

A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Facility License was not posted. The Manager posted the License.

10050 - CCLR s.11(1) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. A selection of childrens files were reviewed. Out of the 5 reviewed, 2 did not emergency contacts.

19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (k) the date on which the child stops attending the community care facility.
Observation. A selection of childrens files were reviewed. Out of the 5 reviewed, 3 did not contain the date when a child stops attending.
