- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Licensing observed the following: - Water temperature at 51 degrees celcius - Fridge tempererature at 9 degrees celcius
Corrective action. Ensure the water temperature is below 47 degrees celcius. Ensure the fridge temperature is between 0-4 degrees celcius for proper food storage.

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Licensing observed the following: - Cabinets in the bathroom are becoming porrous; making the area unable to clean and sanitize effectively. - Light in the art room is not working. The Manager said the light went out yesterday and has taken steps to fix the light.
Corrective action. Ensure the facility is in good repair.

Observation. LO observed and discussed following with the Manager: Outdoor play space: an open hole (about 10 cm diameter) on the ground needs to be covered. This poses entrapment and trip/fall hazard. The Manager said that replacement cover will be purchased to address this issue.
Corrective action. Ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.
