- RECORDS AND REPORTING
The licensee must (a) develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. A care plan has not been developed for a child with allergies.
Corrective action. Develop a care plan in consultation with the parents, for the child with allergies.
19250 - CCLR s.58(2)(a) - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)
Observation. Licensing noted a staff's ECEA certificate has not been validated.
Corrective action. Ensure all certificates are validated using the ECE Registry's validation system.
12140 - CCLR s.19(4)(a) - STAFFING
The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.
Observation. A criminal record check for a person over the age of 12 who is ordinarily present is not available.
Corrective action. Ensure a criminal record check for all individuals ordinarily present is obtained.

Observation. Criminal Record Checks for each employee was not obtained through the Criminal Records Review Program. The Criminal Record Check on file was obtained through the local police department.
Corrective action. Ensure each person employed by the facility has a criminal record check obtained through the Criminal Records Review Program

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Observation. Inspection of the facility found the following: 1. The walls in the playroom have several areas where the drywall is exposed. 2. The backyard has construction debris stored beside the deck area, the North/East corner of the yard has construction debris, landscape clippings and compost that is accessible to the children.
Corrective action. Ensure all walls are repaired and hazardous items are disposed of or not accessible to the children
