• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. Upon inspecting the 72 hour emergency supplies, the water has expired and the Manager said that the supplies were in various spots in the center that the staff would not know of.

  Corrective action. Please ensure emergency food and supplies are sufficient and available to staff.

  Observation. Upon review of the attendance records, 2 departure times had not been recorded.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. Upon review of the attendance record it was observed that the children in the school age program were not being signed out consistently. Licensing also observed that all children in the group child care were being signed in on the same sheet. It did not indicate which room the children were in. The director indicated the attendance sheet was divided into two but licensing could not decipher.

  Corrective action. Please ensure an accurate record of attendance is kept, indicating which room the children are in and what their arrival and departure times are.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. During inspection of the facility, it was found that 3 walls in Room A had spots where the jiprock is exposed or have holes forming. Room B was also found with chipped paint on the wall that is in need of repair. The fenced outdoor play space is flooded in several different areas and is not usable as outdoor play space under the current conditions. Program Director identified that discussions with the school district has not provided a plan for correction as of yet. This condition has been identified on 2 other inspections over the past 3 years.

  Corrective action. Ensure the facility and outdoor play space is in good repair. An alternate outdoor play plan will be required until the necessary repairs have been completed to the outdoor play area.
