  If a person prepays part of the cost of services provided by a class of community care facilities designated by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, the licensee must, at the time of the prepayment, deliver to the person a written statement setting out the terms and conditions on which a refund of all or any of the prepayment will be made.

  Observation. The Licensee did not provide a written statement outlining the terms and conditions of refund (parent contract) to a person at the time of prepayment to any family.

  Corrective action. The manger will ensure that a parent contract is available for all families.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Observation. An emergency contact and information for a doctor or clinic was not available for one child.

  Corrective action. The manger will ensure all required information is available for all children.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.

  Observation. No care plan available for a one child requiring extra support.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure a care plan is available for the child.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility.

  Observation. A date of enrollment is not available for a child.

  Corrective action. The manger will ensure a date of enrollment is available for all children.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)

  Observation. An ECE Certificate for one staff was not validated through the ECE Registry.

  Corrective action. The manager will validate the certificate.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. A criminal record check for one staff is not site specific.

  Corrective action. The manager will apply for a criminal record check through the sharing program of the CRRP.
