  A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

  Observation. Observed all children's sleeping mats were stacked on top one another, bedding touching. This is a concern for cross contamination. Licensee said she usually has them separated on the floor ready for nap time, but was using the space for activity today.

  Corrective action. Please ensure nap mats are stored separately at all times.

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. There was no emergency plan and procedure developed for this facility - further discussed as to expectations of responding to an emergency. The fire extinguisher was overdue for service - Licensee was trying to arrange service during inspection

  Corrective action. Licensee will create an emergency plan and procedure and submit to Licensing.

  A licensee must keep (a) a copy of the written statement, referred to in section 19 of the Act, that the licensee delivers to persons who prepay part of the cost of services

  Observation. A repayment agreement is in place but there was no evidence that families have been provided with the policy agreement

  Corrective action. Licensee will create a written statement to be held on file with parents acknowledgement.

  A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as either Preschool (30 Months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age), must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to (a) a covered container for soiled clothing.

  Observation. During inspection of washroom it was noted that a covered container for soiled clothing/diapers is not present

  Corrective action. Manager will ensure a covered container for soiled items will be present at all times

  Observation. During an inspection of the bathroom it was noted that one cloth towel was present for drying of hands, and single use towels were not present (cloth or paper)
