A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Observation. A section of the fence in the outdoor play area is loose. The manager said this has been reported and repairs will be made.
Corrective action. The manager will follow up to ensure repairs to the fence will be made.

Observation. Three containers of diaper cream have expired and lotion for two children is not in the original container and no permission to apply the cream has been obtained from the families.
Corrective action. Please ensure all diaper creams have a current expiry date and if a family requests any lotions are applied to their child, the lotion is in the original container and written instructions on when to apply the lotion is provided by the family.
