  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. Food and water in the emergency supplies have past the expiry date and there are not enough supplies for 72 hours.

  Corrective action. The Licensee will ensure that there are enough supplies for 72 hours and that all supplies have current expiry dates.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The time children arrive and depart at the facility is not being recorded.

  Corrective action. The time children arrive and depart the facility is now being recorded.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. During the inspection Licensing observed a small climber and slide inside the classroom. Foam tiles were located at the bottom of the slide.

  Corrective action. Please ensure resilient surfacing is placed around the climber and slide and a 6 foot fall zone around the structure is observed to prevent a potential injury.

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the Child Care Facility License and the name of the Manager were not posted in the facility.

  Observation. Three of four staff certificates were posted in the facility.

  Observation. Five children's records were reviewed. Three children's records were missing a date of enrollment.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed the staff qualifications list located at the facility. No staff certificates were observed to be verified with the system maintained by the ECE registry.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the staff qualifications list is maintained to verify that staff records are complete.
