- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Although most of the cubbies are secured, one wasn't which poses as a tipping hazard.
Corrective action. The manager said that they will reach out to maintenance to secure the cubbies.
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation. Upon review of several children's records, some are missing the record of their medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Corrective action. The manager said they will acquire and keep this information from the parents.
19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Upon review of several children's records, some are missing the name and telephone number of a medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Corrective action. The manager said that they will acquire and keep this information from the parents.
19100 - CCLR s.57(2)(d) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must have in writing from a parent, and maintain at the community care facility, consent (a) to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness if the parent cannot immediately be reached.
Observation. Almost all children do not have a written consent from the parents to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of an accident.
Corrective action. The manager said they will acquire this information from the parents.
