- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed the following: -Lysol, bleach and toilet cleaner within reach of children in the washroom -Laundry room door open, resulting in direct access to chemical cleaners and water heater -Bleach and cleaning chemicals in an unlocked cabinet, accessible to children
Corrective action. The Manager ensured all chemicals and cleaners are out of reach of children and will be checked throughout the day to ensure proper safe storage.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep current records for each child showing (a) the information set out in subsection (2), (b) if applicable, the information and agreements set out in subsections (2.1) and (2.2), and (c) the consents referred to in subsection (3).
Observation. Two children present did not have files obtained
Corrective action. The Manager confirmed the children are recently enrolled and will obtain a completed file prior to their next day in care.
19060 - CCLR s.57(1)(a)(b)(c) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. Attendance records for the past 3 weeks did not reflect all departure times
Corrective action. The Manager confirmed staff will complete the paper attendance records incase the electronic record is missed.
