A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

Corrective action. The staff said the license and the name of the manager will be posted

Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (b) the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

Observation. One ECE was present with children of different service types. The service types would require an I/T staff to be on site.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure that the ratio of employees to children is no less than what is permitted in Schedule E

Despite this section, during the half hour before a care program begins and the half hour after a care program ends, a licensee may permit children who would otherwise be grouped in different care programs, and who are arriving at or leaving the community care facility, to be grouped together and supervised other than as required under Schedule E if (a) the care program is described as Multi-Age Child Care, Group Child Care (Under 36 Months), Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age).

Observation. Children of different service types were mixed for more than half an hour. Children had been mixed from 8:30am and were still mixed by the end time of inspection

Corrective action. The manager will ensure children are not mixed for more than 30 minutes at the beginning and/or end of the program
