- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. There is a garden rake accessible to children in the outdoor play space.
Corrective action. The garden rake is typically stored away in the shed. The licensee will move it back there.
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that each piece of furniture or equipment for sleeping (c) is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A child under 36 months old was sleeping in a infant swing that is not appropriate for sleeping.
Corrective action. The child was moved to an appropriate cot during inspection. Licensing had a thorough discussion with the licensee about proper sleeping equipment.
