EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Cubbies are unsecured which can be a topple hazard. Sunscreen bottles are accessible to children, stored on their cubbies.
Corrective action. The licensee said that they will secure the cubbies and move the sunscreen away from children's reach.

STAFFING
The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.
Observation. Criminal record checks for individuals over the age of 12 who is ordinarily present are not available for review.
Corrective action. The licensee has submitted the criminal record checks but copies were not available for review. They will send copies to Licensing for review once found.

Observation. Cleaning supplies were accessible to children in care in an unlocked cabinet in the children's washroom.
Corrective action. The Licensee stated that she will either move the supplies or ensure the cabinet is locked at all times.
