- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation. In one of the Group Child Care (30m- School age) programs, Cleaning materials were accessible in the children's third washroom.
Corrective action. Ensure that hazardous materials much as cleaners are not accessible to children in care.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - LICENSING
A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate, or a copy of the certificate, of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.
Observation. 1 Educator certificate was not posted
Corrective action. Ensure each educator or assistant certificate is posted.
10070 - CCLR s.11(4) - OR SUPERVISION
Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (b) the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

- A licensee must (a) ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance.
Observation. A staff member used inappropriate behavioural guidance when they grabbed children's arms inappropriately on several occasions.
Corrective action. A written response is required to be submitted to licensing by June 20, 2025, on how the manager will ensure that all staff are following appropriate behavioural guidance practices with children in care.
