  Observation. Licensing observed a log had not been kept for outdoor inspections.

  Corrective action. Ensure a log of all inspections, maintenance and repairs is kept at the facility.

  Observation. Licensing audited eight children's files and observed one missing consent to call an ambulance.

  Corrective action. Ensure all children's files have consent to call an ambulance.

  3070 - CCLR 57(3)(a)
• A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

  Observation. Licensing measured and observed that the water temperature was 51.3° Celsius. This is an immediate risk to health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. Observed Licensee turn hot water off immediately, with a new measured temperature of 7° Celsius. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

  Corrective action. Ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

• A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a valid certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry

  Observation. Licensing audited one staff file and observed the certification had not been verified.

  Corrective action. Ensure all staff files are verified through the ECE Registry.

  3010 - CCLR 19(4)(a)
• The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

  Observation. Licensing observed that a CRC was not obtained for person over the age of 12 that is ordinarily present at the facility.

  Corrective action. Ensure persons over the age of 12 have a obtained an CRC.
