A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (a) suitable for the age and development of the children.
Observation. A small trampoline in the outdoor play area was observed. The manufacturers guideline listed the trampoline was not suitable for children under 3 years of age
Corrective action. In discussion the Manager said she would remove the trampoline right away.

EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): -Diaper cream was located within reach of the children -Sunscreen was located at the children's level. -Plastic bags were located in a drawer that was accessible to children -The freezer was unlocked. A lock was present -The lid to the washing machine was left open and contained water. This was closed during the inspection

A licensee must have first aid kits that are readily accessible to all employees, including while care is provided off the community care facility premises. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The first aid kit was observed. The following supplies were missing: -Triangular bandage -CPR mask -Ice pack This was corrected during the inspection
Corrective action. Please ensure a fully stocked first aid kit is available for use.

A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.
Observation. Licensing observed that the Manager's name was not posted in the facility.
Corrective action. In discussion the Manager said she will create a sign and post it on the wall

Observation. During the inspection Licensing discussed the fire drills and emergency drills with the Manager. The manager confirmed the drills were completed but not recorded as completed.
