- RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. Licensing reviewed the attendance files and time of departure was missing on few dates in various months.
Corrective action. Licensee said that she will look at a different system of documenting departure times.
19090 - CCLR s.57(2)(c) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation. Licensing reviewed 6 children's files and one file was missing a record of immunization.
Corrective action. Licensee said they will add the immunization to the file.
19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - STAFFING
A licensee must ensure that each employee (b) practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month.
Observation. Fire drills system was reviewed and was noted that in the month of October fire drill was not noted.
Corrective action. Licensee said that they have practiced the fire drill but forgotten to mark it down. Licensee said that they will add the fire drill on the calendar.

A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. Hot water reading recorded at 54 degree Celsius
Corrective action. Licensee will be working on either getting a water regulator or turning off the hot water.
11230 - CCLR s.47 - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Fire extinguisher has not been serviced annually
Corrective action. Licensee will get the fire extinguisher serviced by next week.
13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Upon review of seven files two files had emergency contact information missing
Corrective action. Licensee will talk to the parents during pick up and obtain the information regarding the emergency contacts

A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. The water temperature in the bathroom was recorded at 52.5* Celsius. Children use this tap to wash their hands and the recorded temperature poses as risk.
Corrective action. Ensure any heated water accessible to children does not exceed 49* Celsius
11230 - CCLR s.47 - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. The sleeping mats with sheets left on the mats are stacked on the top of each other and stored in the crib that is not in use.
Corrective action. Licensee must ensure that the bedding used for children are stored separately. A system is implemented to take them off after each use before storing or stored separately.
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation. Observation: Extended electrical cords were observed within the facility and accessible to children.
Corrective action. (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Electrical cords were pushed behind the shelf so that they are not accessible to children. Permanent solution to be implemented.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation. Immunization Status not obtained for staff.
Corrective action. Ensure staff screening and required documentation is complete.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.
Observation. It was noted that one of four children's files reviewed did not contain a photo or digital image.
Corrective action. Ensure that photo of the child is included in the child's file.

Observation. One of four files reviewed did not include the medical insurance plan number.
