  Observation. Fire Extinguisher has not been serviced annually

  Corrective action. Ensure that there is a system in place where the service of fire extinguishers is done before the next due date.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person.

  Observation. Upon reviewing 4 staff files a minimum of two character references was not obtained for two employees.

  Corrective action. Ensure that references are obtained before the employment starts and are included in the staff file.

  Observation. All the Fire Extinguishers in the bulding were out for service.

  Corrective action. Ensure that there is a system in place where the service of fire extinguishers is done when the facility is not in operation.
