- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. At the time of the inspection the water at the bathroom sink tested at 61.4 degrees Celsius.
Corrective action. Ensure the water used by children does not exceed 49 degrees Celcius.
11230 - CCLR s.47 - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep current records for each child showing (a) the information set out in subsection (2), (b) if applicable, the information and agreements set out in subsections (2.1) and (2.2), and (c) the consents referred to in subsection (3).
Observation. Of the six children's files reviewed, three were missing personal health numbers, enrolment dates, and the name and number of a physician.
Corrective action. Licensee said she will ensure the children's files are complete.

A licensee must keep (a) in the case of employees, all records required under section 19 (1) [character and skill requirements] for the entire time that the subject of the records is an employee of the community care facility.
Observation. One staff file was missing a work history, character references, and immunization record.
Corrective action. Licensee will obtain the required information for the employee file.
