• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Two of three change tables reviewed, showed signs of disrepair.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

  Observation. Of seven children's files reviewed, one children's file did not contain sex, one record did not contain medical insurance plan number.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to obtain name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number, and immunization.

  Observation. Of five staff files reviewed one staff file was missing site specific criminal record check.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Licensing observed where the drywall was exposed in two classrooms, giving access to the drywall material. Licensing identified the areas in need of repair. Manager stated they are winding down for summer closure, and would put in a request for the repair which would be addressed before reopening in September.
