- MEDICATION
If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child's parent or in the child's record or care plan.
Observation. Upon inspection it was observed that an EPI pen had expired.
Corrective action. The medication will be replaced by the parent.

- STAFFING
A licensee must ensure that each employee (b) practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month.
Observation. Licensing observed that the Fire Drill was not practiced and recorded for Preschool and 30 months to SA room.
Corrective action. Ensure that Fire drills are implemented on monthly basis and the record is maintained.

Observation. Licensing observed the following: -In 3-5 room the sleeping mats were stacked together with the sheets,blankets and stuffed toys touching -Fridge Temperature in I/T room is not maintained between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius -Hot water temperature over 49 degrees in Preschool room. (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION)
Corrective action. Ensure that healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under supervision

Observation. portable heaters located on the floor and accessible to children. the heaters were in use and hot to the touch.
Corrective action. please ensure children do not have access to the heaters while in use to prevent risk of scalding.

A licensee must ensure that a child's medication is not accessible to any child, except that a child may have access to his or her own medication if (a) the child's parent has instructed the licensee to permit this.
Observation. Medication stored within a backpack which is located in the cubby area
Corrective action. ensure medication remains inaccessible to children to prevent risk of health and safety.It is noted that children were observed to be well supervised at all times through out the inspection.

Observation. Fire drill records could not be located in one program for 2021 , A record of January drill not documented.
Corrective action. Please ensure each program practices monthly fire drills in order to ensure staff and children are familiar with evacuation procedures.
