- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. The floor in the entryway, kitchen area, and bathroom was chipped and warn in several areas, preventing the ability to sanitize effectively. Outside the sandbox had a crack in the side, a chip from the corner, and some wooden edging that was warn away, giving access to sharp edges, and slivers. The manager said they will be covering the top edges with a material to address the areas of concern.
Corrective action. The manager said they will consider a plan to address and provide a written response.
11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that each piece of furniture or equipment for sleeping (b) is clean and comfortable.
Observation. Nap beds where the beds were in contact of a dirt floor, and where at least two beds' sheets were in contact, giving opportunity for transmission of communicable illnesses.
Corrective action. The manager said they had been put away improperly on this day, and will create a system and provide a written response with how they will address this.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed: -Some drywall was chipped exposing the metal corners of the wall. Corrected during the inspection. -Standing water was observed in a bin near where children were napping. This was corrected during the inspection.
Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
